about the teacher
Lou Savage grew up in Erie, PA. He taught himself to play guitar at the age of 4, then piano. At the age of 12, he took up drums, then electric bass at 14. He then moved on to doublebass at age 19 and ultimately graduated from Cleveland Instute of Music with a degree in doublebass.
He sings and plays in a wide variety of ensembles, from churches and synagogues, to night clubs, theatrical pit orchestras and concert stages.
He teaches privately from his home and at the homes of his students. He also teaches at Tustin Music, and Jim's Music in Tustin, CA.
Lou is also an audio recordist who performs voiceover and occasionally appears on television and film. Lou is a SAG/AFTRA member.
